Timberline Dike Holding Strong
The Timberline dike was built to a strong 43+ feet and with the water cresting at 41 feet is holding very strong (this has been confirmed by Roger Fenstad and Dave Helland from the City). There is some seepage around the HESCO barriers but that is normal and sump pumps are handling most of the flow. Some areas are requiring some smaller gas pumps, but again this is expected with any dike system.
The dike and pumps are being monitored by several teams of people throughout the neighborhood. As of this posting (1:59 am), all reports by the inspecting parties are 100% positive with no change to the physical state of the dike. Considering that the water level will be high for up to 5+ days, we will diligently monitor everything to ensure the safety of the residents of Timberline (and Fox Run).
No meetings are planned for Sunday at this time in view of the positive news on water levels and the state of the dike. If anything changes, notifications will be sent out to residents.
I believe tonight will be the first full night of sleep for everyone. If you haven’t had any sleep … get some as you deserve it!
