32nd Contingency Dike Update – Being Closed Off Today

As you probably have seen, a 3 foot contingency clay dike is being made on 32nd Street.  We have just learned this morning that the contingency dike is going to be closed off today, but there will be a ramp on the south end (covered with crushed concrete) for vehicles to leave.  If you have a vehicle that has very low clearance, you will want to remove that vehicle immediately this morning.  Most vehicles (cars, SUVs, etc.) should be able to drive over the ramp with no problem.

Remember, this contingency dike has been planned for quite some time and should NOT be interpreted that our dike surrounding Timberline is weak.  We are still very confident in our dike particularly with the current water levels.

More news will be posted as learned.
