We had a VERY IMPRESSIVE turnout of volunteers today from the high schools, colleges and surrounding neighborhoods.  The major portions of sandbagging is now completed!  We had to increase the level of the sandbag dikes to 42 feet today (they are expecting 40.5 feet for a possible flood level).  All sandbag dikes and the clay dikes are at 42 feet now.  At this time we do not foresee the need for a significant amount of volunteers on Wednesday to help with sandbagging, but things can change very fast.  Wanzek construction is still working on filling the prefabricated berms with sand and should be completed by tomorrow.

Thanks again to everyone that helped today whether it was sandbagging or providing food (Rick/Kim Rayl, Michelle/Ralph Erickson for lunch and many others cooperated for the dinner held at Marilyn Werre’s house)!  For those of you who still haven’t had time to help, there is always cleanup.
